Summary: In the Scottish Highlands, the MacDonald clan raids the grounds of the Campbell clan in revenge for the death of one of their own. Alastair MacDonald captured Enid Campbell, who decides to remain with her new husband after a truce is reached. Ian MacDonald courts Annie Laurie, the daughter of the governor, but Annie prefers Donald Campbell. The MacDonalds are tricked into housing Campbell soldiers, who take out the bridge to the beacon light. When Annie aids in the lighting of the beacon, she shows that she has chosen Ian and the MacDonalds.

Notes: In the 1980s, the Oregon Historical Society received a complete print from a private film collector. The print was passed on to the American Film Institute and the Library of Congress.
